  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • Neutral soy-free oil for frying

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream or coconut cream
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Bring water, butter, 1 tablespoon sugar, and salt to a simmer.
  2. Stir in flour until a thick dough forms and pulls away from the pan.
  3. Cool 5 minutes, then beat in eggs one at a time and add vanilla.
  4. Spoon dough into a piping bag with a star tip.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F and pipe 4-inch strips into the oil.
  6. Fry 2-3 minutes per side, then drain on paper towels.
  7. Toss warm churros in cinnamon sugar.
  8. Melt chocolate chips with cream and serve as a dip.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour blend with xanthan gum
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk or dairy-free milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 5 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 4 ounces cream cheese or soy-free dairy-free cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Bloom yeast with warm milk and a spoonful of sugar for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, remaining sugar, egg, 2 tablespoons butter, salt, and yeast mixture into a soft dough.
  3. Cover and rise 45-60 minutes, until puffy.
  4. Roll dough between parchment sheets into a rectangle.
  5. Spread with 3 tablespoons butter, then cover with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll, slice, and place in a greased baking dish. Rest 20 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 22-28 minutes, until golden.

Directions

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream or coconut cream
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk or dairy-free condensed coconut milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free, soy-free chocolate chips
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Whip cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. Fold in condensed milk, vanilla, and salt.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Spread into a freezer-safe pan and cover tightly.
  5. Freeze 6 hours, until scoopable.
  6. Rest at room temperature 5 minutes before scooping.
